Kia ora Ayla, I am a research scientist at the University of Auckland and I was very interested to come across your DLO inquiry about science. I study education, particularly in schools, and I perform systematic analysis of data such as student interviews, classroom observations, assessment scores, and even blogs! Unfortunately I couldn't make the video link work in the title slide - it says "video unavailable", however I found the other webpage links to have very informative information. I notice that your WALT states the aim of the DLO is to synthesise information. I was wondering why you chose Charles Darwin and Rachel Carson as the two scientists to include in your explanation of what science is - out of all the scientists you could have chosen I was wondering what made these two so significant?
