Mosasaurus is a Dinosaur with armor around it’s body.  It lived around 65 million years ago in the late cretaceous period. The Mosasaurus was strong and it wasn't afraid to fight any other dinosaurs.

A Mosasaurus  can protect itself from getting hurt from a T- Rex. Also a Mosasaurus has a big strong hard club on its tail and it has an armor on its body. It also has very pointy spikes around its shell. It can protect its eyes from getting hurt by a t-rex because it has a hard frill covering its eyes. A t-rex can kill other dinosaurs but a Mosasaurus can hit a T- Rex with its club and it will be sore. Mosasaurus can attack dinosaurs with its feet or its sharp teeth.t from.

if they are working inside researching or  testing rock samples they wear everyday clothing.when they are out in the field their clothing can also be vary.

    

WHAT DOES A VOLCANOLOGIST WEAR?

they were cloves so the laver can protect the gloves from getting burnt and they also wear a heat resistant suits  with heavy boots gloves and a helmet.They also sometimes need breathing apparatus such as a mask. so as you can see a volcanologist wears different clothing in different situations and when they are on an erupting volcano they need clothing that protects them from the heat and gas.

  

HOW DO YOU BECOME A VOLCANOLOGIST?
by being a hard worker and creative person and  you have to be sientes ticked and you have to do your homework and you have to do your best at doing it.

On  this year on monday we had cross country. when we lined up too get ready for cross country everyone was cheering for some of the girls and Mr burt talked to us about  when we get ready and  he said take your marks get set go and then he said go and then off went all of the girls and when all of the girls went next to the pavilion  some of the girls slipped into the mud but then they got back up and they never gave up they just kept on running and i saw some of the girls huffing and puffing but they never ever gave up and i did it like some of  the girls and when the three girls already went pust the finish line some of the parents was so so happy and when all of the parents saw their child that came first or second or third they were so proud and happy and even if you didn't come first second or third it doesn't meter because you can always can come first second and third and when they got to the finish line i saw tehilah came first and indiana came second and christina came third and they are going to race another school  and they are going to see if they are going to come first second or third And i think telah is going to come first and when they get there i think they are going to be very neves and i hope tehla comes first so have a good cross country race.

A Kiwisport coach gets us ready for our warm up and they also get us ready for our sport skills like high jumping or soccer or netball and touch or basketball.  

WHAT EQUIPMENT DOES A KIWISPORT COACH NEED/WHAT DO THEY WEAR? 
A Kiwisport coach needs a whistle so everyone can listen to  what the Kiwisport coach says.They also need some sportsgear like cones or high jumping sticks.

HOW DO YOU BECOME A KIWISPORT COACH?
A Kiwisport coach needs to work hard every day and they need to be very fit and they have to be reliable on stuff and they have to be on time .

WHAT SORT OF PERSON DO YOU NEED TO BE?   
To be a Kiwisport coach you have to be a sporty person and you also have to be brainy so you are  able to speak  loud at  the kids so they can hear. You have to be nice to the kids and you have to help the kids and you have to be responsible in your job.  You have to be confident too.

Being a Firefighter is a challenging job. You have to be fit and mentally strong.

What Do Firefighters Do?

When there is a fire in your house you can ring the firefighters and they can extinguish it.  When people are driving too fast  they crash. The firefighters come and rescue the people who are stuck in the car.  Firefighters also educate people to be fire smart by visiting children at school.

                                        What Do Firefighters Wear

Fire fighters wear protective clothing .One thing they have to wear is a helmet so nothing can hit the firefighters head and it will really hurt very bad. The second thing is when you are having gloves so that when someone is still in the car the Firefighters can break the glass and you do not have gloves and you touch glass it will hurt. The third one is about breathing  apparatus. The breathing apparatus is some thing  the firefighters wear so they don’t breath gas because if they do they will die.

                                                                The maori new year  is a very important traditional  celebration in nz. It is called Matariki.   During Matariki a cluster of  7 stars appear. There are many  stories. One is about Tawhirimatea. Tane pushed his Mum and Dad, Papatuanuku and Ranginui apart.  He wanted some light Tawhirimateo was so sad he took out eyes out and he threw them up into the sky.

the lighhthouse

High  on a hill above the village stood a lighthouse it beens of  light were a warning for ships to

stay away .there were treacherous rocks below.

The people that lived in the village were celebrating. The lighthouse keeper was an old solitary man.

The lighthouse keeper was focusing on his work then suddenly the lighthouse keeper heard a clanking noise and slammed the window shut. Then his candle blew out, he decided to walk upstairs to see where the noise came from.

As he clambered up the stairs the entire lighthouse plunged into darkness. When he reached the top of the stairs he checked the lamp and saw a boat was heading towards the rocks. He struggled to lift the big lamp, he stumbled backwards over his toolbox and dropped the enormous lamp which smashed into lots of tiny pieces.

He came up with a brilliant idea, he grabbed his lamp and ran down the stair as he opened his front door, all of the villagers were coming up the hill, carrying their lanterns. The villagers all stood on the edge of the hill to warn the ship from crashing into the rocks.

move .but suddenly He saw a big tower .and he went and climbed it. .and Then He jumped and  was going to land on The gray box  but He misted .and then he saw a red button and he did not know what it was for .but he was going to push the button but He was nerfis to push the button but He push it .and it move .Then his tie got stuck on the gray box and Tried to get his tie off the gray box but Then is tie ripped ? and He got stuck in the gray box ? and a box Had been Taken out of The gray box and it had blue tie.and Then The Tie was gone.

Immersion Assembly

yesterday on a cold morning pt england school had an immersion assembly in The school  at The hall. we were going to discover what we will be learning about This Term. room 11 and 12 walked nicely in a line to The hall.  

my favourite part was when mr barks welcome mr somerville on to his minion hovercraft.so mr somerville went onto mr barks is hovercraft. and he went onto it he holed it on tight. and then he got lifted up and he slided and he was very fast.

my favourite part was when mr somerville defeated miss lavakula and Mr baxendine in The video game.

Picnic

when we had picnic i went down to the beach and i went and played with sticky gray clay and i like making a volcano with dasiy and makayla and hineragi and jorelle and ayla pt england school are lucky enough to go to pt england beach last week on friday.we were going to enjoy our day and have fun in the sun annual school picnic.My favourite thing was playing with the clay and i dig a hol with the sand pit and we pot the clay in the sand and cover the sand over the clay .At the picnic i felt happy because it was sunny and i playd with clay and i was so happy when we went to the picnic.
